Magnesium is available in many different forms, each with its own unique clinical application. In the case of Magnesium Orotate the clinical benefit is seen with systems that have a high energy (ATP) demand such as the cardiovascular system. The benefit of Magnesium Orotate is as much the byproduct of orotic acid as it is magnesium. Orotic acid is thought of as a "magnesium fixing agent" due to its influence over magnesium binding sites. Mg-Orotate 500™ supplies 500 mg of fully reacted magnesium orotate, delivering 62.5 mg of elemental magnesium and 437.5 mg of orotic acid per 2 capsule serving.
